Repair of partial defect of nose presents considerable problems for plastic surgeons. These defects are not uncommonly present at the time of birth, but mostly caused by trauma, infection, tumors. For those problems corrective rhinoplasty using flaps is performed. Though local tissue is preferred for suitable color matching, distant tissue is more often used in the orientals, because, traditionary forehead scars are particulary detested in the orient. The use of Italian flap for such reason has been well established. We report 3 cases of partial nose defects (columella, alae and septum) which were caused by noma and tuberculosis at childhood. These defects were reconstructed with an Italian flap successfully, combined with composit graft from ear helix and silastic implant in columella.
